UPDATE: School says meth lab cleanup is complete

April 6, 2012

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth Community School Corporation announced Thursday that the remnants of two meth labs found in the woods near Washington Elementary School last week have been completely cleaned up. All waste was hauled off site by ENVIROCORP, a certified environmental management firm hired by the school corporation, and disposed of in an approved landfill.
ENVIROCORP is also inspecting the soil and taking soil samples in the area.
A report from the school corporation states, "The visible clean up is complete at this time and the school
corporation will leave the warning ropes in place until the results of the
 soil sample testing are known."
Any further actions taken by the school corporation will be determined by the results of the soil samples and advice from the environmental consultants.
