UPDATE: Coroner says man drowned after truck slid into water-filled ditch last week

BOURBON — Marshall County coroner Bill Clevenger said Wednesday that alcohol and drugs were not a factor in last Thursday's early morning crash that killed Louis J. Cady, 75, of Nappanee. Preliminary autopsy reports indicate that Cady drowned when his truck landed upside down in a water-filled ditch on Beech Road.
When found, Cady was wearing his seatbelt. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Clevenger.
