Uceny to compete in 1,500 finals today

DES MOINES, Iowa — Morgan Uceny placed fifth in her heat of the women’s 1,500-meter prelims and seventh overall to advance to today’s finals at the U.S. Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa Thursday. Uceny clocked a 4:13.82 to move on to today’s finals, scheduled for 5:46 p.m., along with fellow 2012 Olympian Shannon Rowbury, who finished fourth overall in the prelims.
Uceny is competing for one of the top three spots that would qualify her to compete in the World Championships in Moscow in August. Today’s finals will be televised live on Universal Sports.
