Tyner post office is no more

September 13, 2012

TYNER — The Tyner Post Office closed this month, a year after being identified in 2011 as a "low-activity" office by the United States Postal Service (USPS).
Residents of Tyner will now have to pick up their mail at P.O. boxes located outside the Polk Township Community Building on French Street in Tyner.
A statement posted by the Plymouth Post Office on the door at the Tyner office informed customers that delivery at the new P.O. boxes would begin September 8.
For more information on Tyner mail delivery, contact the Plymouth Post Office at 574-936-2629.
