Triton Elem. VIP Day a success

October 15, 2010

Triton Elementary School second grader Hunter McIntyre, 8, got to enjoy both his grandmothers, maternal grandmother Karen Fager (left) and paternal grandmother Jami McIntyre for lunch Oct. 1 during TES’s VIP Day.

BOURBON — Friday, Oct., 1 Triton Elementary School continued its annual “VIP Day” tradition. Formerly known as “Grandparents Day,” Triton Elementary opened it’s doors to the community for those “Very Important Persons” to join their special students throughout the school day. VIPs had the opportunity to visit the students’ classrooms as well as attend lunch and recess with the students. Many classrooms had planned special activities including: games involving VIPs, student presentations, and recitation of recently-studied topics.
The undertaking turned out to be a huge success with more than 500 attendees. Triton Elementary staff credited and gave thanks to the PTO members and the many other individuals who helped to make the day possible.
