PLYMOUTH — Theodore Henry Peltz, 84, of Plymouth died Sept. 25, 2012 at 11:40 a.m. at Pilgrim Manor of Plymouth. He had been in declining health for a couple of years.
He was born Jan. 14, 1928 in South Bend, the son of Oscar C. and Julia E. (Torok) Peltz. He spent all of his life in the Marshall County area.
He was married to Catherine “Katie” Culp; she preceded him March 31, 2007.
He ran the Gulf Station in downtown Argos for several years and worked as a mechanic for the Standard Station in Argos and the Ford Garage in Culver. He also worked as a TV repairman.
He served in the United States Navy being honorably discharged Dec. 11, 1946.
He graduated with the class of 1946 from Tippecanoe High School, Tippecanoe.
He is survived by a daughter – Judy Marion and husband John of Lebanon; and sons – Steve Peltz and wife Roxie of Plymouth; Ted M. Peltz and wife Vicki of Logansport; Dennis Peltz and wife Reva of Argos.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter – Paula Spencer 2001; granddaughter – Brandi Peltz 1986; two brothers and four sisters.
Friends may visit with the family Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday Sept. 28, 2012 at the funeral home, with Rev. Lloyd Howard of the Church of Jesus Christ of Argos officiating.
Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
