Thanks a million

Culver and Monterey Elementary Schools celebrated a milestone last week when some ten years of collecting aluminum can “pop tabs” culminated in over one million of them. Ronald McDonald House in Indianapolis, a charity organization which houses family of ailing children at Riley’s and other local hospitals, collects the tabs for their recyclable purity. ABOVE: Ronald himself helped students celebrate in the CES gym last week. Joining Ronald for a skit on bullying are Monterey third grader Breanna Poull (left) and CES fourth grader Dakota Bennett. Some of the massive collection of tabs is visible behind them.
