Take the 'Walk of Nightmares' tonight and Saturday
WALKERTON — If their website is any indication, the proprietors of The Walk of Nightmares trail in Walkerton have more than a few scary moments planned for this Halloween weekend. And the best part? It's free.
"There's not a lot of free attractions in the area," said Jessica Beam, part of the Walk of Nightmares team. "(The staff) are all dedicated. Their sole purpose is to try to scare somebody, and you can guarantee that will happen. There's going to be something in there that will scare almost anybody."
This is the second year for the two-day only event which takes place at 3738 Tamarack Road (about two and a half miles south of U.S. 6). The trail is open from 8 p.m. to midnight tonight (Friday) and Saturday. Rain dates are next weekend, Nov. 4 and 5.
