Students’ artwork to be featured in gallery

PLYMOUTH — In honor of Youth Art Month, several students from each elementary school in Plymouth have been selected to display their work at Heartland Artists Gallery downtown.
Elyse Chudzynski, art teacher at Riverside Intermediate School, said that it was difficult to chose only 26 of her students to be featured in the gallery.
Both the reception and the exhibit are free and open to the public. The students’ artwork will be on display for the entire month of March during the gallery’s normal hours of operation, Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Also in March, the gallery is offering new classes:
• March 14 — Perspective drawing, 1 to 3 p.m. All supplies included, $15.
• March 21 — Crochet dishcloth. All supplies included, $15.
• March 28 — Spring Break elementary drawing, 1 to 3 p.m. All supplies included, limit eight students. $10.
• March 29 — Spring Break elementary painting, 1 to 3 p.m. All supplies included, limit eight students. $10.
• March 31 — Rapid sketching, 1 to 4 p.m. All supplies included, $35.
All classes are held in the gallery’s new location, 103 W. LaPorte St. across from Java Trail. Call 936-1123 to register.
