TIPPECANOE — Stella L. Curtis, 67, of Tippecanoe, died at 4:52 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home, Rochester, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 29, 1943 in Hasting, Minn., to Lee and Edna (Tanney) Glasby. She lived in the Argos community for the last 35 years coming from Gary, Ind. and was a homemaker.
She married Robert Roy Curtis. He preceded her in death Dec. 10, 1987.
Stella is survived by sons, Robert (Teresa) Curtis Jr. of Nappanee and David Lee Curtis of Bourbon; four grandchildren; six sisters: Suzie Riley, Lucy Balster, Vicky Dahlstron, Sylvia Glasby, Gloria Burr, and Lorane Osmera; and two brothers, Henry Glasby and Paul Glasby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five bothers and three sisters.
Friends may visit with the family Friday, March 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos.
Services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26 at the funeral home with Rev. Rob Mace of the First Baptist Church of Argos officiating.
Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
