State Roads 10, 17 closed in coming days

MARSHALL COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced road work will begin July 17 in the morning on State Road 10 between State Road 117 and US 31. Road crews are expected to work through completion of the chipping process. Sweeping of the road way will be accomplished over night to prepare for the sealing process to begin on Thursday, July 18.

Delays during the chipping process on Wednesday should be expected and may last up to 20 minutes. Delays should also be expected on Thursday during the sealing process and may last up to an hour to allow for curing of the sealant.

Road work is scheduled to begin the morning of July 19 on State Road 17 between SR 10 and SR 8 through completion of the chipping process on the 19th. The completion date for this project is not known and depends upon if road crews work on Saturday. Delays during the chipping process on the 19th should be expected and may last up to 20 minutes. Delays should also be expected during the sealing process and may last up to an hour to allow for curing of the sealant.

Detours will be posted to assist in travels.
