St. Joseph Regional Medical Center celebrates with annual 'Gala'

July 14, 2014

PLYMOUTH — The annual "Catch the Spirit" gala was well attended by about 260 people, all of whom were involved in some way with St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

The gala was both a celebration and a kick off for a fundraising campaign. Honored at the event were the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ who received the Community Spirit Award.

Plans for the $8.5 million expansion of the emergency room at the Plymouth hospital were discussed and the community fundraising goal of an additional million was also announced. The additional money will expand on the scope of the current project, which will increase private rooms and provide additional diagnostic services within the department.

Additional details about the project and photos from the gala are featured in today's Pilot News.
