Sluggers Bullpen to hold clinic March 5

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth’s indoor baseball training facility, Sluggers Bullpen, will be holding a spring baseball fundamentals clinic on Saturday, March 5.
The groups for instruction will be broken down into ages five through eight; ages nine to 11 and ages 12 to 14. The clinic features Plymouth High School and Plymouth Post 27 coaches Ryan Carroll, Dean Colvin, Josh Dietz and Head Coach Tony Plothow as well as Plymouth Travel Coach Bob Caban.
Session one will be for the younger group with instruction on the findamentals of throwing, fielding and hitting. The session is limited to 20 players for the 90-minute session with registration starting at 8:30 a.m and instruction beginning at 9 a.m.
Session two will feature instruction for the nine to 11 age group with registration beginning at 10 a.m. More advanced fundamentals will be taught with an introduction to pitching and the fundamentals of avoiding injury.
Session three is geared to the more advanced player with registration starting at 12:20 p.m. and the three-hour clinic beginning at 1 p.m.
All players are encouraged to bring their own bat, glove, tennis shoes and suitable baseball apparel. The cost is $20 to a Slugger’s Bullpen member and $30 for a non-member. To register call Dean Colvin at 574-933-2727 or Bob Caban at 574-780-4313.
