Severe weather headed this way

MARSHALL COUNTY — The Marshall County Emergency Management office has issued an alert that a winter storm warning has been issued by the National Weather Service from 7 p.m. tonight until 7 p.m. Saturday.

Significant snow accumulations are expected over the area tonight and Saturday. Accumulations are expected to range from 5-8 inches across the warning area.

Impacts from this event include:
• Roads will become snow covered, slick and hazardous, making travel dangerous.
• Visibility will be reduced to less than 1/4 mile.
• Use caution when shoveling snow as this can e a very strenuous activity.
