The Second Saturdays event for the month of July carries the community theme “Embrace the Pace.” The weekend begins Friday night with the Nappanee Corvette club keeping it cool at the Dairy Queen at 5:30 p.m. (to learn more call 574-773-4928) followed by the fourth annual Vintage Baseball Game featuring the Nappanee Embracers vs. the Bonneville Millers at 6:30 p.m.
From 9 a.m. to noon proud owners of an antique car, truck or motorcycle can bring it to the tent at the corner of Clark and Market streets and at noon, there will be a cruise around the city before going to the Boys & Girls Club cruise at the high school.
Saturday’s schedule will include a performance by the 38th Infantry Division Band from Indianapolis, a Kids Photography class at the library (see page 2 for more information), free horse and buggy rides, and a “Shoe Fly” pie baking contest hosted by Metzler’s Shoes.
