GLENDALE, Ariz. – Ruth “Irene” Wallace, 85, a former Plymouth resident, died at 11:06 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 in the Life Care Center of North Glendale, Ariz.
Irene was born Feb. 18, 1925 in Plymouth, the daughter of Mack T. and Myrtle L. (Huffer) Johnson. She attended Plymouth schools.
She worked for United Technologies – Automotive Division for 23 years as a production assembler and retired in 1991. She had attended the Paseo Verde Christian Church in Peoria, Ariz.
Irene’s favorite past-time was crocheting.
Survivors include her two children: Michael L. and wife Judy Wallace of Glendale, Ariz. and Cathy Jo Squires of Ft. Wayne, Ind. along with six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A brother, Glen Johnson and his wife Dorothy of Soldotna, Alaska also survive.
She was preceded in death by brothers: Pat Johnson, Tommy Johnson and Mack Johnson Jr. and sisters:  Virginia Gibson and Elaine Ringle.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth where services will begin at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Krieg.
Burial will follow in the Morris Cemetery, west of LaPaz.
