BREMEN — Ronald E. Leeper, Sr., 82, of Bremen, passed away Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010 at the Community Hospital of Bremen with his daughter by his side.
He was born Nov. 3, 1927 in Marshall County to Earnest and Freda (Scheetz) Leeper.  Dec. 21, 1945 he married Phyllis J. Long. She preceded him in death in 2007. 
Also preceding him in death are son, Ronald E. Leeper, Jr.; infant daughter, Brenda J. Leeper; two brothers, Jesse and Marvin Leeper; and sister, Ernestine Stuntz.
Ronald served as sergeant in the U.S. Army, and an AAA gun crewman and M-1 rifle marksman, receiving a WWII Victory medal. 
He retired from a lifetime of driving a semi and was a Bremen Church of God Minister. He enjoyed sitting on his front porch watching people go by and walking his best friend Cody.
Survivors include daughter and caregiver Mary Leeper of Bremen; two grandsons, David (Holly) Leeper of Goshen, and Brian (Elizabeth) Leeper of South Bend; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leon (Eunice) Leeper of Bridgman, Mich., and Dennis (Cindy) Leeper of Bremen; sister, Marlena Dube of Bremen; uncle, Russel Wagley of Bremen; and daughter-in-law, Shirley Leeper of Middlebury.
There will be no visitation.
A graveside service will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospital of Bremen.
