SUN LAKES, Ariz. — Robert Wayne Brockus, 73, of 26455 South Hogan Drive, Sun Lakes, Ariz., formerly of Culver and Argos, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010 at Saint Joseph Medical Center, Phoenix, Ariz.
He was born June 3, 1937 in Argos, to Buros and Margaret Maier Brockus and was later employed as a bank teller. Bob married Sharon Mowiser Dec. 29, 1957 at the Walnut Church of the Brethren in Argos. She survives.
Bob and Sharon lived in Indiana for many years before moving to Arizona in 1983. He had been an active supporter of the Argos Little League in Argos, and was a former member of the Lion’s Club. He was also a member of the St. Steven’s Catholic Church in Sun Lakes, Ariz.
Bob was an avid fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He loved his family very much and will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon K. Mowiser, Sun Lakes, Ariz.; daughter, Debra K. (Mark) Gordon of Winamac; a son, Steven W. (Barbara) Brockus of Phoenix, Ariz.; granddaughters: Whitney Brockus, Chantal (Kyle) Rensberger, and Vanessa Gordon; grandsons: Derek Brockus, Drew Brockus, and Konner Brockus; great-granddaughter, Bria Rensberger; and sisters: Mary Batcho of Plymouth, Bernice (Richard) Erow of Milford and Evelyn (Warren Maxwell) Bowman of Sturgis, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Maier Brockus and Buros Brockus; two brothers; and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. (EDT) Friday, Oct. 15, at Frain Mortuary, 305 E. Main St., Winamac.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Frain Mortuary with Rev. Martin Sandhage officiating.
Burial will take place in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
