Reports of accidents are coming in at a steady stream this morning. Multiple reports of slide-offs and rear-end collisions are the most common. Emergency responders are receiving calls for assistance and responding as quickly as weather is permitting.

The Marshall County Highway Department is working diligently to keep the roads clear. However, due to the wind blowing the snow the plow crews are having difficulty keeping the north and south roads clear.

Street departments in the cities and towns are working to get and keep roads clear as well.

Extreme care is urged when traveling. Allow extra time and space for stopping, turning and when approaching intersections.

Due to the cold, wind and road conditions minimizing travel is recommended.
