PLYMOUTH - Mike Reese of The Troyer Group updated the Plymouth Park and Recreation Board on River Park Square at the board meeting on Monday, Oct 7.
According to Reese the park is starting to take shape but is three to four weeks behind schedule due to a number of set backs. Aside from the underground discoveries having their hand in delaying the development of the park, speciality products such as the pergola and the performance structure have added to the setbacks. Reese explained vendor manufacturing has been slow with the specialty products.
Contractors have been slow with their submittals on the restroom building adding additional delays as well as difficulties scheduling pavers as the company is swamped this time of year and often leaves for other jobs.
River Park Square is still anticipated to be done this year but some of the planting and seeding may have to be postponed. Reese assured the structures are still on schedule to be finished and suggested stabilizing the site over the winter. He projected site work should be done by the end of October and Thanksgiving for the rest of building.
