Ripley resigns as Chairman

PLYMOUTH — Ryan Ripley, Marshall County Democratic Party chairman, announced Friday that he will be resigning effective Dec. 1.
"I have enjoyed the past two years working with the Marshall County Democratic Party and wish future party leaders and candidates all the best with their upcoming efforts and campaigns," said Ripley.
He and his family will be moving to Fort Wayne in order to pursue new career opportunities.
Ripley said that he has enjoyed meeting "all the wonderful people" in the past two years of campaigning on behalf of the Democratic Party. He added that he and his wife also appreciated being able to serve in various community organizations during their time in this area. Ripley also mentioned that his family would always have a connection to Plymouth because of his son, Dawson, now 16 months old.
"This is the city where our son was born," said Ripley. "He'll always be from Plymouth. Our greatest memory is the day our son was born at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center."
After December 1st, Michelle Livinghouse, who is the current vice-chair, will be acting Chairwoman until the party holds a meeting to vote in a new Chairperson.
