Rhodes, Scheetz win AAU grand prix

Kendall Rhodes and McKenzie Scheetz competed in the Michigan Juniors Volleyball Association AAU Grand Prix over the weekend in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Their team, Dunes 12 Black, entered the tourney as the No. 1 seed and finished as the Gold bracket champions in the 12 open age group, going 4-0 in tourney play Saturday at Cornerstone University and 3-0 Sunday at DeVos Place Conference Center.
The team next travels to Orlando Florida to compete in the AAU Nationals. The Dunes Volleyball Club is located in Rolling Prairie, Ind. and is owned by Rick Ashmore. Kendall is the daughter of Cody and Lisa Rhodes, and McKenzie Scheetz is the daughter of Mike and Stacy Scheetz.
