Girls basketball
Trojans survive Vikings
Triton outscored Tippecanoe Valley 8-3 in overtime to survive the visiting Lady Vikings 44-39 and remain undefeated.
Taylor Hatfield and Megan Howdeshell each put up 13 points for Triton, and Howdeshell recorded a double-double with a game-high 11 rebounds.
Tippy Valley was led by Staci Groom’s game-high 15 points.
The Vikings fell to 5-2 and the Trojans moved to 7-0 on the season.
Triton will travel to Bremen Friday for a Northern State Conference game at 7:30 p.m.

Plymouth falls at Washington
Plymouth was outscored 32-21 in the second half, and the Lady Pilgrims suffered a fifth straight loss with a 51-36 defeat on the road at South Bend Washington Wednesday.
Amber Redinger scored a season-high 24 points for Plymouth to lead all scorers.
Washington was led by 13 points from Tiara Murphy.
Washington improves to 3-3, and Plymouth slides to 1-5.
The Pilgrims will open Northern Lakes Conference play as they host Warsaw Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Glenn beats Bethany
The Lady Falcons broke a 24-all tie with a 21-12 fourth quarter, and John Glenn notched its second win with a 45-38 victory over visiting Bethany Christian at The Aerie Tuesday.
Kyler Columbia put up a team-high 10 points for Glenn.
Bethany was led by Malaina Weldy’s 11 points.
The Bruins slid to 3-6 while Glenn improved to 2-4 on the year.
The Falcons will travel to Northern State Conference foe Jimtown Friday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Argos beats Glenn
Argos beat John Glenn in a girls bowling meet Tuesday, 19-1.
Leading the Lady Dragons were Jamie Ewing, with a team-high score of 177 in the first game and a 157 in game two, while Abby Cohagan turned in consistent scores of 174 and 176 in the win.
Argos will be back in action next Tuesday, Dec. 13 at Quick’s Lanes in Plymouth against Penn.

Argos fell 18-2 to John Glenn in a boys bowling match Tuesday.
Zach Smith rolled a 133 in game one, while Noah Duff tallied a 136 in game two to lead the Dragons.
Argos will host Penn next Tuesday, Dec. 13 at Quick’s Lanes in Plymouth.

Women’s college basketball
Belles beaten by Flying Dutch
Already facing off against a pair of nationally-ranked opponents, the Saint Mary’s basketball team squared off against No. 15/22 Hope and found itself on the wrong side of a 74-56 decision on Wednesday.
Plymouth grad Jessica Centa led the Belles with 12 points.
The Belles (3-6, 1-2 MIAA) will have over a week off as they reach the bye in their league schedule and enter finals week next week. The next contest for Saint Mary’s will be at home Saturday, Dec. 17 when they host the No. 2-ranked University of Chicago.
