Girls golf
Plymouth places 3rd at Goshen Invite
Plymouth’s girls golf team placed third one stroke behind second-place NorthWood with a 375, while Dekalb won the Goshen Invitational at Maplecrest Country Club Friday.
Heidi Morganthaler shot the individual low with a 79 for NorthWood.
Plymouth was led by dual 87s from Emily Berger and Lauren Rearick. Emily Denny shot a 100, Morgan Oberley shot a 101, and Kelly Henderson carded a 109 for the round.

LaVille competes at Marquette Invite
LaVille shot a team score of 403 to finish ninth at the 11-team Marquette Invitational at Michigan City Golf Club Friday, while Chesterton won the meet with a score of 312.
Lauren Reed led LaVille with a 74, good enough for fourth overall, while Shalya Eggert shot a 95, Melissa Hall shot a 109, and Casey Turak and Whitney Brown carded respective scores of 125 and 126 at the meet.

Carpenter ties for 26th at Stonehenge Junior Open
Quentyn Carpenter carded a 71 on his final day at the American Junior Golf Association Stonehenge Junior Open Thursday to finish in a tie for 26th against a talented field from around the country and Canada.
Carpenter shot a 75 on the first day of the event and a 73 Wednesday before firing off his 71 in the final round Thursday to finish at 6-over 219.
J.D. Lehman of Okatie, South Carolina won the meet with a 6-under-par 206.

Schenk takes 4th at Round Barn
Plymouth’s John Schenk shot a 12-over 84 at Round Barn to finish fourth in the boys 12 division at a Indiana Golf Foundation event in Rochester Thursday.
Schenk finished just one shot out of the leader at the event.
