Plymouth’s boys soccer team snapped a three-game skid with a 0-0 draw at Northern Lakes Conference foe Goshen Thursday.
The Rockies were outshot 24-13 but Zach Lee made eight saves in goal to keep the slate blank.
Plymouth moves to 0-1-1 in conference play and 1-3-2 overall.

Danny Reynoso scored in the 70th minute, and Bremen rattled off its fifth straight win 1-0 at NorthWood Thursday.
Austin Adams recorded 12 saves in goal as the Lions made Reynoso’s goal stand up to move to 5-0-1 on the year.

Vlach and Cavs beat Community Baptist
Kyle Vlach scored twice, and Culver Community earned a 2-1 win on the road at Community Baptist Thursday.
Vlach scored on a penalty kick in the 39th minute to knot the game at 1-all, then scored on another PK in the 71st minute to put Culver over the top.
Marshall Anderson made 13 saves in goal in the win for the Cavs.

A trio of Argos girls scored a pair of goals as Argos had a big second half to beat Wawasee 8-0 on the road Thursday.
Allie Flower, Jami Patterson and Raelynn LaFrance each scored a brace while Shelby Sanders and Mariah Lineberry had a goal each. Kayla Prochno and Katie Williams had a pair of assists and Lillie Kozuch had one. Karlee VanDerWeele and Jenni Fishburn combine for the shutout.
The Dragons controlled the game from the whistle, but led only 2-0 at the half.
The visitors outshot the Warriors 24-3 on the game as Argos moved to 4-2-2 on the season. Wawasee fell to 2-3-1.
The Dragons travel to another large school opponent in Warsaw on Saturday. JV is set for 1 p.m. with the varsity to follow.

Plymouth falls to Tigers, 3-2
Plymouth took its first Northern Lakes Conference defeat with a close 3-2 loss to host Warsaw Thursday.
John Hunter won in three sets at 3 singles for the Pilgrims, and Gabe Vervynckt trumped Kyle Wettschurack in an extended tiebreaker at 1 singles to win in straight sets.
Plymouth slips to 5-2 and 1-1 in the conference.

Plymouth closes NLC duals with 2 wins
Plymouth beat both Goshen and Concord by wide margins at the Lady Pilgrims’ home course Thursday to finish out the Northern Lakes Conference dual season at 5-2.
Emily Berger led the team with a score of 45, while Lauren Rearick and Emily Denney fired off dual 48s, and Kelly Henderson shot a 51.

Plymouth’s volleyball team opened Northern Lakes Conference play with a 25-18, 25-19, 25-15 victory on the road at Wawasee Thursday.
Amber Redinger finished with 12 kills, while Haley Harrell registered 21 assists and 12 digs.
Plymouth moved to an even 5-5 overall.

Rockies roll at Glenn
The Plymouth Rockie freshman football team went on the road Thursday night and defeated John Glenn 47-0.
The young Rockies dominated the offensive and defensive line in the first half to build a 41-0 lead at halftime and scored one more time in the second half.
Plymouth’s freshmen move to 2-0 for the year and will host Warsaw at the Rockpile next Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Men’s college tennis
Bethel opens 0-2
Bethel College’s men’s tennis team got off to an 0-2 start to the season with a pair of 9-0 losses Wednesday and Thursday.
The Pilots were defeated by Spring Arbor University in their season-opener at home Wednesday, and they fell Thursday to Cornerstone.
LaVille alum Trent Stout lost both of his No. 3 singles matches 6-0, 6-0, while Plymouth grad Caleb Hadden fell 6-3, 6-0 Thursday after a loss in two 6-0 sets Wednesday.
Bethel travels to Marion Saturday for a 12:30 p.m. match.
Women’s college tennis
Lady Pilots off to 2-0 start
While the Bethel college men’s tennis team scuffled to an 0-2 start, the Lady Pilots jumped out to 2-0 with a 7-2 win over Spring Arbor Wednesday and a 9-0 sweep of visiting Cornerstone Thursday.
NorthWood alums Melissa Ramer and Taryn Johnson claimed straight-set victories at No. 3 and 5 singles, respectively, Thursday, while Ramer paired with Bremen graduate Kelsey Stichter for an 8-5 win at 3 doubles to complete the sweep of Cornerstone.
Ramer also won in straight sets at 4 singles in her team’s season-opener Wednesday, when Johnson battled back from a first-set loss at 6 singles for an eventual three-set win.
Ramer also paired with fellow NorthWood product Jill Focht for a narrow 9-8(5) tiebreaker win at 3 doubles in the opener.
Bethel hits the road Saturday to face Marion at 12:30 p.m.
Women’s college volleyball
Lady Chargers win at Morton
Ancilla’s volleyball team improved to 3-2 with a win on the road at Morton College Wednesday.
Mieka Wagner had an outstanding performance, leading the Lady Chargers in both kills (12), and digs (13).
Kristen Trudell dished out 34 assists and Wagner, Hayley Mavrick and Kelly Duke combined for 27 kills with only four hitting errors.
Mavrick had 12 digs, and Duke added 11 digs with five aces. Keri Friend did a solid job on defense and serving while Jessica Moore added 3.5 blocks.
2 teams tie at Lake City Bank Cup event
Two teams tied for the win at last weekend’s Plymouth Country Club Lake City Bank Cup Series mixed scramble.
Kent Naylor, Bill Palumbo, Mike Borden and Ken Kiel tied with Kevin Combs, Jim Galt, Lynn Hartman and Dick Van Verst for the win at the penultimate Lake City Bank Cup event.
The ninth and final event of the cup series will take place this Sunday, and scoring will be doubled for the competition. Justin Murphy is the points leader headed into Sunday’s round.
PCC retains Trophy Bench
The Plymouth Country Club recently pulled out a a 15 1/2-14 1/2 victory over Maplecrest in a Ryder Cup event on the road.
PCC moved to 5-0 in the third year of the event, thus hanging on to the coveted Trophy Bench.
