Lions earn 1st win
Bremen’s boys soccer team earned its first win of the year with a 3-0 shutout of visiting Washington Thursday.
Andrew Huff, Sam Bickle and Danny Reynoso all scored for the Lions. Reynoso and Huff also recorded assists in the win.

Falcons fly past Caston
Alex Crump earned a hat trick with three goals, including the capper for John Glenn in the 49th minute, and the Falcons handed visiting Caston a 6-1 rout Thursday.
James Frey scored twice, putting Glenn on the board in the second minute as Glenn outshot the visitors by a 15-1 margin.
A.J. Strycker recorded two assists in the win.

Girls soccer
Zeiger and LaVille edge Clay
Nina Zeiger broke a stalemate with an unassisted goal in the 39th minute, and LaVille made it stand up through the second half in a 1-0 defeat of visiting Clay at Newton Park Thursday.
Goalkeeper Kyleigh Breden recorded two saves for the Lancers as Clay was held to just one shot on goal.

Plymouth slips at Penn
The Plymouth volleyball team slipped to 0-2 on the young season with a three-set loss at Penn Thursday, 25-20, 25-11, 25-21.
Andria Shook finished with six kills, two aces, two blocks and seven digs for the Lady Pilgrims. Marissa German had nine digs, and Emily Eveland recorded five.

The Lady Lancers went up two games to none early then held on for the five-set win after a Bethany Christian rally to earn their first win of the season, 25-18, 25-23, 12-25, 22-25, 15-7, on the road in Goshen Thursday.
Kelsey Gurtner recorded 16 kills and 18 digs, while Katie Berger finished with seven kills and six assists.
Lorita Ciesielski served three aces, and Lauren Hostrawser contributed eight blocks in LaVille’s first win of the season.
