PCC beats Maplecrest
The Plymouth Country Club Ryder Cup team recently vanquished its friends from Maplecrest Country Club, winning 20-12. The win was the fourth straight for PCC.
A rematch will take place Aug. 22 at Maplecrest.
Team members were Jon Huffman, Pat Bayley, Jeff Starr, Brad Parkhurst, John Hampton, Ryan Cummings, Jack Kary, John Wendel, Kent Naylor, Greg Scheetz, Dave Goebel, Steve Hissong, Paul Martindale, Jim Galt, Gary Treat, Rob Carlson, Jim Beckham, George Blackburne, Mike Galt and Andrew Morris.
Women’s Choice winners
Jan Starr, Shirley Whitmire, Brad Parkhurst, Cliff Myers and Brad Bucher won the Plymouth Country Club’s first ever Women’s Choice Event. Two females were to pick three males to be on their team and played a three net best ball format.
Second place finishers at the event were Shelly Plumlee, Mary Raimondi, Matt Chamberlin, Joe Morris, and John Wendel. Closest to the Pin were Mitch Chamberlin and Mark Naylor.
PCC Mixed Calcutta
Fifteen fivesomes recently competed in the Plymouth Country Club’s Mixed Calcutta Scramble.
Winners were Marc Morrison, Greg Scheetz, Tom Flynn, Dan Whitmire and June Bules. There was a seven-team playoff for second place with the team of Art Vanick, John Oliver, Jr., Jim Beckham, Jim Hardin and Donna Galt ultimately coming out on top. Proximity winners at the meet were Mary Raimondi, John Hampton, Kelsey Flynn, Janelle Prochno and Bob Danielson.
Nike Swoosh League
1st Half Men’s champs
The Plymouth Country Club announced its Nike Swoosh League 1st Half Men’s Champs, and in the end it was Gardenview Landscaping which took the prize. Second-place team was Treats. Closest to the pin and skins winners were Amish Woodworking, Beer Thirty, Rochester Homes, The Bogey’s and Treats.
