Senior boys complete sweep
The Indiana Senior All-Stars completed their sweep of the Indiana Junior All-Stars with a 133-111 victory at Tipton High School Wednesday.
The seniors knocked down 16-of-31 3-pointers led by Zak Irvin’s 5-of-7 from deep and got 63 points off the bench compared to 40 by the juniors en route to the win, which followed a 106-95 victory Monday at Sullivan High School.
Triton’s Clay Yeo had a solid all-around game with four points, three rebounds, two assists and a block for the seniors, while Plymouth’s Mack Mercer swatted out a game-high four blocks while putting up four points with two assists and a steal for the juniors.
Mishawaka Marian’s Demetrius Jackson served up a game-best seven assists while scoring 12, and Irvin scored a game-high 21 in the win.
The Senior All-Star Classic series will open Friday at Freedom Hall in Louisville with the girls game slated for 5:30 p.m. and the boys to follow, and it will wrap up Saturday at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Schedule for that game is girls tip-off at 5 p.m. and boys to follow.

2nd half cues Senior girls win
Leading by a slim 41-34 margin at the half, the Indiana Senior All-Stars knocked down 24-of-41 shots in the second half to hand their junior counterparts a 95-69 loss at Tipton High School Wednesday.
The win completes a sweep by the senior girls following their 84-65 win in Sullivan Monday night.
Culver Girls Academy senior Andrijana Cvitkovic scored four points and pulled down two rebounds in the win, while NorthWood junior Morgan Olson scored five points with a rebound, a block and a steal in the loss.
The seniors outrebounded the juniors 57-31 in the win, and Taya Reimer and Stephanie Mavunga scored 17 and 16 points for the winners. Logansport’s Whitney Jennings dropped a game-high 20 points for the juniors.
With the in-state games now complete, the Indiana-Kentucky All-Star Classic opens Friday at Freedom Hall in Louisville with the girls game slated for 5:30 p.m. and the boys to follow. The series finishes up Saturday at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis with the girls slated for a 5 p.m. start and boys to follow.
