Softball
Triton wins at Manchester
Triton's softball team ran out to a 3-0 lead in the first three frames and held on for an eventual 4-1 victory over Manchester on the road Tuesday night.
Hannah Jennings had two extra base hits, doubling in the first and second innings and singling in the fourth as she, Krystal Sellers and Allyson Brown combined for eight hits and two RBIs.
Brycelyn Garbison struck out six hitters while allowing one earned run on six hits and two walks over seven innings for the win inside the circle.
The Trojans didn't relinquish the lead after scoring one run in the first inning when it scored on an RBI double by Mallorie Jennings.
The win comes on heels of a 16-0 win Monday at Culver in which Mallorie Jennings struck out 12 en route to her 500th career strikeout.

LaVille rallies past Knox
LaVille rallied back from an initial 4-0 deficit with seven runs in the third and fourth innings, and the Lady Lancers handed Knox a 10-5 Northern State Conference loss at home in Lakeville Tuesday.
Tiffany Craft tripled, and Kendra Borton doubled for LaVille, which out-hit Knox 12-4 to survive five errors.
The Lancers move to 10-12 with a 5-8 NSC mark, while Knox slips to 4-9 in the conference.

Baseball
Triton sweeps Culver
Triton topped Culver Community the second night in a row to sweep the Northern State Conference series 11-8 in Culver.
The Trojans scored two runs in each of the first four innings and another two in the final frame after a five-run fifth cut Culver's deficit to 9-8.
Bryson Mosier and Landon Kaufman both doubled for Triton, and Jayden Hargrave earned the win on the mound lasting two innings for the Trojans, who moved to 5-8 in conference play.
Nick Pritz, Shawn Russell and Brendon Pinder all doubled for Culver, which falls to 2-10 in the league.

Girls tennis
Plymouth falls to No. 14 Munster
Plymouth's girls tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision to IHSTeCA No. 14 Munster on the road Tuesday.
Mikayla German was the sole winner for the Pilgrims with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Melissa Tepperman at 2 singles. Emily Blake and Ellen Smith split sets at 2 doubles before falling 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 to Munster's Mariana Rogers and Anisha Vavilala.

Glenn wins at Bethany
John Glenn's girls tennis team beat host Bethany Christian 4-1 on the eve of sectionals Tuesday.
Yuma Yabuta was a 6-4, 6-2 winner at 1 singles, Brittnie Spoonhauer won 7-6(3), 6-0 at 2 singles, and Julia Jacobson was a 6-4, 6-1 winner at 3 singles. Leah Kasey and Rachel Lawson combined for a 6-1, 6-2 win at 2 doubles.

LaVille falls in close dual
Alexis Kertai and Kayla Hoober fell in three sets at 1 doubles, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3, and LaVille lost a dual meet with visiting Mishawaka 3-2 Tuesday night.
Bailey Frick won 6-2, 6-2 at 1 singles, and Kaitlyn Haisley was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at 2 singles for the Lancers, who face host Bremen in the Bremen Sectional tonight.

CMA edges Winamac
Culver Military edged Winamac on a fifth score to top a four-way field at Mystic Hills Tuesday evening.
Ben Sharff led the Eagles with a 1-under 36 followed by John Connolly's 38. Zach Allyn shot 41, Davis Payne carded 43, and Logan Joseph's 44 trumped Ben Conner's 45 to push the Eagles past Winamac.

LaVille beat both Rochester and South Bend Clay in a three-way meet at Sprig O'Mint Tuesday.
Zach Gurtner led the Lancers with a 40 followed by Cameron Gurtner's 43 and Zach Hostetler's 44. Tyler Thomas shot 49 to round out LaVille's team score.
