Plymouth falls at NorthWood
Plymouth battled with two runs in its last at-bat, but fell short of the win in a 6-4 Northern Lakes Conference loss at NorthWood Monday.
Chase Peters, Connor Flynn and Ike Kastner all doubled for the Pilgrims, who out-hit NorthWood 8-7 but committed five errors in the road loss.
Jordan Scheetz took the loss on the mound.
Chad Ervin and Hunter Lane doubled, while Tanner Roberts got the pitching win for NorthWood, which plated four runs in the second and third innings and held on for the win.

Triton wins at Culver
Triton jumped out to a 4-0 lead and plated another six runs in the top of the sixth for an 11-7 Northern State Conference win on the road at Culver Monday.
Seth Glingle homered for the Trojans, who racked up 14 hits in the win, which pushes the team to 8-13 overall and 5-8 in the conference.
George Alvarado homered, and Randy Cline and Sam Hissong both doubled for Culver, which slipped to 4-14 and 4-9 in conference play.

Bremen beats Knox
Bremen scored seven runs during a big second inning, and the Lady Lions handed host Knox a 10-6 Northern State Conference loss Monday.
Allison Shorter finished 2-for-3 with a triple, three RBI and a run, while Rachel Czarnecki had three hits, an RBI and a run scored, and Megan Stouder, Kailee Feldman and Taylor Lashbrook each had two hits for Bremen.
Saylor Bailey earned the win inside the circle giving up eight hits with three walks and a strikeout for five earned runs.
Autumn Schlarp took the loss surrendering 14 hits with eight strikeouts and no walks for 10 earned runs.
Aubrey Winterrowd had two hits with a double and an RBI, while Libby Flora had a double, two RBI and a run, and Chelsea Combs had a double and an RBI for the Lady Redskins.

Pilgrims split NLC 3-way
Plymouth earned a Northern Lakes Conference split at its home course at Plymouth Country Club Monday, losing to unbeaten Warsaw but beating Elkhart Memorial by seven strokes.
John Ruff and Zach Craft fired off dual 3-over-par 39s, Nate Kolter shot a 40, and Patrick Felke carded a 43 as the team tied a nine-hole low with a 161 team score.
Plymouth is back in action Wednesday as it travels to Maplecrest to face Goshen. The Pilgrims close out their NLC regular season Thursday at Bent Oak with Concord and Wawasee.

LaVille tops, Cavs split 3-way
Led by Zach Gurtnerâ€™s one-under-par 34, LaVille carded a team score of 151 to top a three-way Northern State Conference meet, and Culver split with the Lancers and Knox at Mystic Hills Monday.
Cam Gurtner shot a 40, Zach Hostetler carded a 42, and Grant Frick shot a 44 for LaVille.
Trent Elliott led Culver with a 41, while Zach Duplay shot a 42, Luke Dunfee shot a 44, and Joe Krsek shot a 45 for the Cavaliers.
Knox was led by Bailey Barettâ€™s 50 followed by Hunter Garrettâ€™s 53, Curtis Schemeâ€™s 54 and Gene McCayâ€™s 61 at Mystic.

7th grade boys track
Lincoln 7th wins NELMSC
The Lincoln seventh grade boys track team with a championship at the NELMSC meet Saturday at Plymouth High School.
Colton Schuler won the long jump and was first on Lincolnâ€™s 400-meter relay team with David Bacon, Caleb Koss and Tristan McMillen.
The team also enjoyed four individual second-place finishes to beat out Indian Springs by 10 points for the conference championship.
7th grade girls track
Lincoln 7th girls take 5th at conference
Lincolnâ€™s seventh grade girls track team placed fifth with 49 points at the NELMSC meet at Plymouth over the weekend, while Indian Springs won the tourney with 116 points.
Victoria Styers was a double champ for Lincolnâ€™s seventh grade with wins in the 100 and the long jump.
8th grade boys track
Lincoln 8th takes 2nd at NELMSC
The Lincoln Junior High eighth grade boys track team concluded its season with a runner-up finish at the NELMSC meet at home behind Riverview.
Trevor Neidlinger earned wins in the 100, the 200 and on Lincolnâ€™s winning 400 relay team, Jack Barron was first in the 800 and on the 400 relay and 1600 relay, Steve Helm placed first in the long jump and with the 1600 relay, Terrance Hooten recorded a pair of firsts in the 400 relay and 1600 relay, Kam Ray was a winner with the 1600 relay, and A.J. Steyers was a winner with the 400 relay.
8th grade girls track
Lincoln 8th girls 7th at NELMSC
The Lincoln eighth grade girls track team closed out its season with a seventh-place finish at the NELMSC track meet at Plymouth Saturday. Warsaw Edgewood and Lakeview finished in a tie for the conference championship with 96 points.
Shannon Stephenson was Lincolnâ€™s only conference champ with a victory in the shot put and a second-place finish in the discus.
