8th grade girls basketball
Lincoln 8th bounces back
The Lincoln eighth grade girls basketball team returned to its winning ways Monday night with a 39-22 win over visiting Boston Middle School. 
The Lady Red Storm was paced by Nicole Horvath’s 18 points, Lanae Singleton’s five rebounds and Ashley Harrell’s five assists. Hanna Hopple finished the game with seven points, and Victoria Styers added six. 
The win came on the heels of the team’s second loss of the season, a one-point defeat to Columbia City’s Indian Springs Middle School in the Northeast Lakes Middles School Conference Tournament opener. 
Harrell led the team in scoring with 10 points, followed by Styers with seven points and Horvath with six. 
Lincoln will be in action again on today when it takes on visiting Triton.

Lincoln B team
stays unbeaten
The Lincoln eighth grade girls basketball B team remained unbeaten at 8-0 on the season with a 28-12 victory over LaPorte Boston recently.  
Amber Blissmer led the way with 10 points for the Red Storm. Mackenzie Derifield added seven and Emma Frantz finished with four.

Bremen 8th beats Jimtown
On Monday, Bremen’s eighth grade girls basketball team defeated Jimtown by a lopsided 36-11 margin. 
The Lady Lions had nine players score a basket and went 5 for 7 from the free throw line in the balanced win.
 
7th grade girls basketball
Lincoln 7th wins 2
Christin Davidson and Leena Tetzloff led all scorers with nine each as Lincoln’s seventh grade girls basketball team defeated Warsaw Lakeview 37-21. 
The seventh grade Red Storm also recently defeated LaPorte Boston 35-17. Leading scorers in that contest were Alli Andrews with seven points and Alexis McVicker with six.

Lincoln 7th B team wins
The Lincoln seventh grade grade girls B team handed LaPorte Boston a 22-18 defeat recently.
Kristen Brown put up a game-high six points for Lincoln, and Shayla Noble and Leah Smith each added four.
