8 Lions compete at HSR meet
Eight Bremen boys competed at the Hoosier State Indoor Relays at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion on Saturday.
Josh Brenneman placed fourth in the long jump with a distance of 20’1/2”, while he and Zack Renner, Sam Lacher and Ryan Zellmer finished seventh in the 4X200 relay with a time of 1:36.07, and Brenneman, Zelmer, Renner and Aaron McKenzie placed 15th in the 4X400 relay with a 3:41.37 time.
Also for the Lions Thomas Dean was 29th in the 3200 with a 10:24.23 time, and Zellmer and Jake Smith both competed in the high jump.

Lady Lions place 10 at indoor relays
Jenna Pfeiffer finished third in the high jump and sixth in the 55-meter hurdles as 10 different Bremen girls placed at the Hoosier State Indoor Relays at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion on Saturday.
Pfeiffer cleared 5’2” in the high jump and finished the hurdle race in 9.07 en route to the two top 10 finishes, while she combined with Brooke Bahr, Megan Burcham and Sara Slabaugh to finish 15th in the DMR Relay.
Burcham, Bahr, Slabaugh and Jorgi Klockow also placed 15th in the 4X800 relay with a time of 10:58.91, while Jasmine Schafer, Vianca Montesdeoca, Paige Weldy and Shannon Miller were 16th in the 4X200 relay with a 1:57.03 stop, and Abby Brown took home 44th in the shot put with a throw of 27’10.5”.

Lincoln 7th teams close with wins
The Lincoln Junior High seventh grade girls basketball teams wrapped up their seasons Thursday night with two victories over visiting Urey Middle School.
Lincoln’s A Team won 32-14 and finished its season with a record of 16-4. Nicole Horvath led the team with 13 points, six rebounds and four blocked shots. Ashley Harrell added seven points, Lanae Singleton chipped in with five points and 13 rebounds, Anna Bockman scored four points, and Victoria Styers tossed in three points and dished out five assists.
Lincoln’s B Team was also victorious, overcoming an early deficit to win 26-24. Adrianna Lowry led the team in scoring with 11 points followed by Emma Frantz with five points, while Hanna Hopple and Natasha Craft each added four points, and Cassie McPherron tossed in a bucket.
