LaVille beats OD
Oregon-Davis closed its regular season with a 69-37 loss to visiting LaVille Tuesday.
Andrew Hostetler put up a game-high 20 points in the win, while Nick Amor had 13, Jordyn Williams and Justin Baker each finished with 10, and Cameron Gurtner recorded nine points for balanced LaVille.
OD was led by seven points each from Craig McIntosh and Nolan Coffin as the Bobcats were held to a combined eight points in the second and third quarters.
OD closes the regular season at 4-15 and will open Sectional 51 play at Triton against the host Trojans next Tuesday.
LaVille moves to 14-5 and will close the regular season Friday as it travels to Jimtown hoping to wrap up at least a share of the Northern State Conference.

Jackson powers Marian over visiting Bremen
Demetrius Jackson scored a game-high 30 points, and Bremen lost its fourth straight game 95-66 on the road at Mishawaka Marian Tuesday.
Ethan Pike finished with 13 points to lead Bremen, while Ben Hueni finished with 10 in the loss.
The Lions close out their regular season with a Northern State Conference game Friday at Culver.

Argos drops closer
Argos’ fourth-quarter woes continued to plague the team as it was outscored 14-6 in the final frame to fall 46-39 at Manchester.
Cain Thorn tallied 16 points, and Dominic Cataldo finished with 10 points, while Taylor Ogle dished out five assists with six points in the regular-season-closing loss, which drops the team to 2-18.
Manchester was led by Logan Brunn’s game-highs of 21 points and 13 rebounds.
Argos opens Sectional 51 play at Triton against Westville Wednesday.

Lincoln 8th beats Whitko
The Lady Red Storm beat Whitko Monday night.
Leading the way offensively for Lincoln was Shannon Stephenson with 11 points and Morgan Oberley with seven.

7th grade girls basketball
Lincoln 7th loses
Lincoln Junior High’s seventh grade girls basketball team lost its third game of the season Monday night with a 31-22 loss to visiting Whitko. Nicole Horvath led the team in scoring with 16 points and Victoria Styers, Brittani Splix and Maddy Samuelson each added a bucket.

Women’s college basketball
PUC wins CCAC tourney opener
The Purdue University Calumet women’s basketball team used a big first half to pick up an 86-60 victory over Trinity Christian in the opening round of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament on Tuesday night.
The Peregrines advance to the CCAC Tournament semifinals for the fourth-straight year, improving to 22-9 on the season with the 10th win in their last 12 contests. Trinity Christian wraps up its campaign with an overall mark of 6-25.
Purdue Calumet raced out to a 21-6 lead in the opening eight minutes of the game, as Plymouth product Alex Starr and Stephaine Beck combined for 11 points during that stretch.
Starr knocked down a trio of 3-point field goals as well to finish with 15 points as one of four Peregrines in double figures.
Purdue Calumet will advance to the conference semifinals this Thursday as it will play host to No. 3 seed Trinity International. The Peregrines can improve to 12-4 at the Fitness and Recreation Center, when the action tips-off at 7 p.m.
