Lincoln 8th bounces back
The Lincoln Junior High eighth grade girls basketball team bounced back from its first loss of the season Monday with a win Tuesday night.
The Lady Red Storm fell by a heartbreaking 28-26 margin to Whitko after falling behind 20-8 in the first half Monday.
Nicole Horvath led Lincoln in scoring with 10 points, followed by Destiny Schoff with four and Hanna Hopple and Ashley Harrell with three apiece as the team finished just 28 percent from the floor.
On Tuesday, the Red Storm benefited from balanced scoring and efficient shooting, connecting on 43 percent of their shots as Lincoln returned to its winning ways with a 40-33 victory over Edgewood.
Victoria Styers led the team in scoring with 10 points, Horvath added eight, Bockman, Jenna Thomas and Lanae Singleton each chipped in six points, and Schoff knocked down two shots.
Lincoln will be back in action today as it hosts Warsaw Lakeview.

Lions dominate New Prairie
The Bremen eighth grade girls basketball team got off to a fast start against New Prairie, scoring 22 points in the first six minutes and never looking back on the way to a 47-14 win Tuesday. 
Eighth Lady Lions finished in the scoring column in the team win.

Lincoln 7th suffers narrow loss to Edgewood
The Lincoln seventh grade girls basketball team suffered a narrow 29-28 loss to Edgewood recently.
Alli Andrews led Lincoln in scoring with seven points, and Leena Tetzloff finished with six.

Men’s college basketball
Wabash closes vs Kenyon
Wabash nearly erased an 18-point second half deficit Tuesday evening in the opening round of the 2013 North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament, but the Little Giants couldn’t find a last-second miracle, losing 77-72 at Kenyon to bring an end to the season.
Plymouth product Houston Hodges served up eight assists as the Giants saw four players in double digits. Hodges tallied a balanced performance of five points, five rebounds and a steal in the season-ending loss as well.
The Little Giants finished the season with a record of 9-17.
