Trojans stumble at Valley
A slow start bit Class A No. 4 Triton in a 59-45 loss at Tippecanoe Valley Friday.
The Vikingsâ€™ boys basketball team doubled up the Trojans at halftime, 32-16, and following a big Triton run, pulled away in the fourth quarter.
Nick Kindig scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Vikings.
Junior Clay Yeo scored 23 points to lead Triton.

Lions lose at NorthWood
NorthWood put three players in double figures en route to a 56-44 boys basketball win over Bremen at The Panther Pit Friday.
Jonathon Wilkinson scored a team-high 11 points for NorthWood, followed by Jakyah Qaiyim and Zach Zurcher with 10 points apiece.
Bremenâ€™s Ethan Pike led all scorers with 14 points.

Jr. high basketball
Lincoln 8th loses
The Lincoln Lady Redstorm eighth grade lost a close battle to Kesling Thursday night, 15-14.
The girls were up all game and played good hard defense, but miscues in the last couple of minutes resulted in the loss.
Shannon Stephenson kept Keslingâ€™s post player in check and scored nine points. Meghan Egierski and Lexi Mahabeer chipped in a bucket a piece and Elise Patrick added a free throw for Lincoln.
Lincoln 7th wins
The Lincoln Junior High seventh grade girls basketball team notched its 10th win Thursday night with a 50-33 win over visiting Kesling Middle School.Â
Nicole Horvath led the team in scoring with 21 points, followed by Lanae Singleton who added 10 points, five rebounds, and four steals. Jenna Thomas tossed in six points, Victoria Styers added five points and six assists, Anna Bockman scored four points, and Maddy Samuelson and Destiny Schoff each added a bucket. It was a great overall effort with the team shooting 50 percent from the field, grabbing 22 rebounds, forcing 14 steals, and tallying 13 assists.
The girls will be in action again on Monday with a showdown against visiting Whitko.
