Boys basketball
Culver routs Satellites
The Cavaliers dished out 20 assists to score with better than 50 percent efficiency, and Culver handed visiting South Central a 59-37 rout at home at John R. Nelson Gymnasium Thursday.
Trent Elliott put up 29 points with eight rebounds, two blocks and two steals, and Collin Stevens finished with 12 points, six assists and two steals. Kyle Vlach finished with six points and seven assists in the win.
South Central was led by Adam Clindaniel’s 17.

OD wins 2nd straight
Blake Hurford poured in 28 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter, and Oregon-Davis handed visiting Lakeland Christian a 66-57 defeat at home at The Den Thurday night.
Zach Johnston scored 13, Joel Worthington put up 10, and Carl Schnekenburger tallied nine points for the Bobcats, who won their second straight and third in four games.
Lakeland was led by 13 points apiece from Chris Silveus and Billy Pitts, and 10 points from Calvin Prinsem.

7th grade girls basketball
Lincoln 7th moves to 14-0
The Lincoln seventh grade girls basketball team beat Culver and LaPorte Kesling to stay unbeaten at 14-0.
Both victories were dominant, with the Red Storm shutting down Culver 36-2 and beating Kesling 43-13.
Leena Tetzloff and Cortni Cook led Lincoln in scoring versus Kesling with 17 and with 10 points, respectively.
Alli Andrews scored eight, and Taylor Brown put up six in the win over Culver.

6th grade girls basketball
Lady Lions lose to Riverside
Bremen fell to Riverside in a pair of sixth grade girls basketball games at Bremen Middle School.
The Lady Lions lost the A game 44-4 and fell by a 24-17 margin in the B game. 
Allyssa Fanning led the Lions with two points in the A game loss. 
Ashley Jeffirs scored eight points, and Rylee Hershberger had four points for Bremen in the B game. 

Men’s college basketball
Total team effort as Ancilla defeats Kalamazoo
The Ancilla College men’s basketball team earned its second conference win against Kalamazoo Valley Community College Wednesday, 74-70.
Top performances were turned in by Demetrius Adams with 31 points, eight rebounds and six blocks while Rosey Green contributed 14 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Jakyah Quayim had 13 points, and Sean Hoevener added 11 points for the Chargers as they held of Kalamazoo down the stretch.
The win brings the Chargers’ record to 8-14 on the regular season and 2-10 in MCCAA.
The team continues MCCAA play when it hosts Grand Rapids Community College on Saturday with tipoff at 3 p.m.
