Boys basketball
Lions lose at West Noble
West Noble scored at a nearly 68 percent field clip, and Bremen fell behind early in a 66-57 loss on the road Thursday night.
The Lions trailed 20-9 at the first quarter break and that deficit slipped to 20 points by halftime, 35-15.
Ethan Pike finished with a game-bets 26 points and six rebounds, while Jacob Box put up 16 points with three steals for his team. Phoenix Ricketts finished with eight points and six rebounds, and Kai Slough handed out six assists in the loss, Bremen’s third straight.
West Noble was led by Keith Gibson’s 25 points with nine rebounds, and Phil Miller finished with a double-double of 13 points and 11 assists.

Wrestling
Bremen tops Knox
Bremen tallied wins in eight weight classes, including three by fall, and the Lions took a 48-30 win in a dual wrestling meet with Knox at home Thursday night.
Caleb Walter, Tyler Felton and Eric Starke earned Bremen’s three pinfall wins at 152, 126 and 106, respectively.
Knox was handicapped by four forfeits at the meet, but the Redskins recorded four wins by fall by Jake Krause, Nathan Lynch, Garrett Majchrzak and Michael Sustaita.

Plymouth swims at Goshen
Plymouth earned just two wins, and Goshen handed the visiting Pilgrims a 119-62 defeat in a Northern Lakes Conference meet at Goshen Thursday.
Jake Martin, Brady Ruffing, Brandon Brashere and Matt Pearson combined to win the 200 free relay, and Brashere won the breaststroke for Plymouth.
Daniel DeLeon and Colin Calvert finished two-three in the 200 freestyle, and Pearson placed second in both the 500 free and the butterfly, while Martin was second in the 50 and 100 free races.
Calvert and Christopher Whitley both swam personal bests in the 200 free, Isaac Rosentreter recorded a PR in both the IM and the breaststroke, Jack Holloway had a PR in the 100 free, and Simon Yates clocked a personal best in both the backstroke and 50 free.

Lady Pilgrims come up short at Goshen
Goshen went one-two in five events, including two relays, and the Lady Redskins handed visiting Plymouth a 118-62 loss in a Northern Lakes Conference meet Thursday in Goshen.
Megan Senter and Lexi Fetters finished one-two in the 200 freestyle for the Lady Pilgrims, while Senter won the 500 free, Layne Holloway won both the 50 and 100 freestyle races, and Fetters, Holloway and Senter combined with Lauren Page to earn Plymouth its other win the 400 free relay.
Fetters finished second in the butterfly, and Page was second in the breaststroke.
Bree Hayes set a PR in the backstroke, Page had a personal best in the individual medley, Brianda Lowe set a new personal low in the 100 free, and Katie Berg, Anya Hettich and Mariah Tepper all set PRs in the 50 free.

8th grade boys basketball
Lincoln 8th wins
The eighth grade Lincoln Red Storm played stellar defense, forcing 19 turnovers in a 47-31 victory on their home floor Monday night.
John Gerard led the team with 13 points, eight rebounds (five offensive) and three steals. Nick Felke chipped in 13 points as well for the victors. Lincoln’s eighth grade moves to 9-1.

7th grade basketball
7th grade Red Storm cruise
The Lincoln seventh grade boys basketball team came out on fire Monday night, building an early 23-4 lead and cruising to the easy 44-16 win. Kaden McCrammer had 16 points and Dylan Powell added 10 for the winning team.
The seventh grade Red Storm move to 9-1.
