Boys basketball
Glenn wins third straight
Three Falcons scored in double digits, and John Glenn won its third straight with a 72-42 defeat of host Argos Wednesday.
Josh Anderson put up a game-high 19 to pace Glenn, while Tyler Prentkowski scored 17, and Austen Hayes put up 12 in the win, which brought the Falcons to an even 4-4 on the season.
Argos was led by Cain Thorn’s 17 in the loss, which drops the team to 1-5.
Glenn will face Triton at home Jan. 7 after the holiday layover, while Argos hosts the four-team Winter Classic beginning with a game versus West Central Dec. 27.

OD loses Pioneer tourney opener
Oregon-Davis lost the opener at the Pioneer Tournament to the host Panthers 76-48 Wednesday.
OD was outscored 18-9 in the second quarter to remain winless on the season at 0-5.
Jake Jones finished with a team-high 12 points to pace the Bobcats, while Zach Taylor knocked down three 3s on his way to nine points.
Damon Coe led all scorers with 20 points for the Panthers.
OD will play Northfield Friday at the tourney at 11:30 a.m. EST and Caston at 8 p.m. EST.

Girls basketball
Triton drops 2nd straight
After going undefeated through its first eight games, Triton lost its second straight with a 52-32 defeat at Warsaw Wednesday.
Shana Anderson scored 11 and Taylor Hatfield put up 10 for the Class A No. 5 Lady Trojans. Mallorie Jennings finished with nine rebounds and three assists in the loss.
Warsaw had a balanced scoring effort from three players as Lindsay Baker finished with 11 points, and Sarah Heagy and Nikki Grose each finished with 10.
Triton will travel to Class A No. 4 Oregon-Davis Jan. 4. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.

Plymouth tops Argos
Plymouth’s boys bowling team beat Argos 19-1 in a meet at Bowler’s Country Club in South Bend.
The Dragons were led by Noah Duff’s scores of 137 and 132 in the loss.
Argos will compete next Jan. 4 against South Bend Adams at Chippewa Bowl in South Bend.

Girls bowling
Lady Dragons beat Plymouth
Argos’ girls bowling team handed Plymouth a 15.5-4.5 loss at Bowler’s Country Club in South Bend. Jina Ewing rolled scores of 247 and 201 to lead the Lady Dragons to the win.
Argos’ next match will be Jan. 4 against South Bend Adams at Chippewa Bowl in South Bend.
