LaVille tops Lions
LaVille won five matches by pinfall and claimed victories in nine weight classes as the Lancers handed visiting Bremen a 46-24 defeat at home Wednesday night.
Bryant Hunsberger, Mitchell Henry and Matthew Moore won consecutive matches by fall at 126, 132 and 138, respectively, while Nathan Slater and Austin Wilson also won by pinfall at 195 and heavyweight for the Lancers.
Bremen’s Cole Spaid and Alex Bollenbacher earned the Lions a pair of pinfall wins at 113 and 152 as the Lions earned wins in five bouts.
LaVille will wrestle at the Jimtown Super Dual Saturday, while Bremen travels to the Elkhart Central Super Dual.

8th grade basketball
Lincoln 8th moves to 5-0
The Lincoln eighth grade basketball team earned a 46-23 win on the road at Indian Springs in a seventh-eighth grade doubleheader Monday.
The Red Storm made an early statement, leading 15-2 at the end of one quarter and finishing the first half up 25-8.  
Nick Felke scored 14 points, grabbed six rebounds and swiped seven steals to lead the Red Storm. He was helped by 11 points and four steals from Ryan Carmichael.  
The win comes on the heels of a competitive 43-40 win at Urey last Tuesday and leaves the eighth grade team unbeaten at 5-0 headed into back-to-back games versus Argos and Warsaw Lakeview.

7th grade basketball
Lincoln 7th stays perfect
Lincoln’s seventh grade boys basketball team started fast in a win at Indian Springs Monday night. The seventh grade Red Storm raced out to a 25-1 lead in the first half and never looked back. 
Leading scorers for Lincoln were Garrett Tharp and Kaden McCrammer.  
The victory pushes the team to 5-0 after a 43-39 victory over visiting Urey at home last week.
