Lady Trojans bounce back at Bethany Christian
Triton collected 35 points off 26 Bethany Christian turnovers, and the Class A No. 9 Lady Trojans bounced back from a loss to NorthWood with a 57-28 rout on the road in Elkhart Monday.
Triton’s frontcourt beat out Bethany’s backcourt in the win as Kylie Mason knocked down three triples on her way to a game-high 17 points, Krystal Sellers put up 14 points with nine rebounds and four assists, and Taylor Hatfield finished with 10 points and six steals.
Breanna Lemler chipped in six points as seven different Triton players scored in the team’s second game without leading scorer Shana Anderson.
The Bruins were led by junior forward Hannah Hochstetler’s 13 points as they fell behind 24-5 at the first quarter break.
Triton improves to 4-2 on the season and will open Northern State Conference play with Knox Saturday at home. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
