Plymouth wins ninth straight
Plymouthâ€™s volleyball team rallied from a 2-1 deficit to beat Northridge in five games, 25-17, 15-25, 20-25, 25-14, 15-10 in a Northern Lakes Conference match at The Rock Thursday night.
Amber Redinger put away 16 kills with six blocks, while Hunter Stevens stepped up with 11 kills and four blocks as the Lady Pilgrims won their ninth straight match.
Haley Harrell set 49 assists and 16 digs, and Andria Shook finished with 22 digs.

Bremen beat LaVille in a three-game Northern State Conference volleyball match at home Thursday, 25-14, 25-16, 25-11.
Brooke Baker led the Lady Lions in kills and blocks with 13 kills and seven blocks, while Chelsea Huppert finished with six killed and three blocks. Sabrina Gilley set 18 assists, and Mikayla Gardner finished with six digs and two aces.

Argos beats OD
Argos defeated Oregon-Davis in a three-set volleyball match, 25-23, 25-16, 25-23.
Kelsey Kring was 20 of 23 passing and 13 of 16 hitting with 11 kills, while Sabrina Brown was 29 of 37 passing and 8 of 12 hitting with four kills for the Lady Dragons. Aubrie De Wulf was an efficient 5 of 6 hitting with five kills.
Kring also led Argos in serving at 12 of 16 with three aces, while Allison Warner recorded 12 of 18 serving and three aces.

Plymouth 9th stays unbeaten in penultimate game
The Plymouth freshman football team defeated Concord Thursday night in a win that was more comfortable than the final 14-6 score reflected.
Cam Eveland and Bodie Neidig scored for the young Rockies. The Plymouth defense had another strong performance, holding the talented Concord squad to a late fourth-quarter touchdown.
The Rockies freshmen remain perfect at 7-0 for the season and will play their final game of the year at fellow undefeated Goshen next Thursday night at 5:30 p.m.
8th grade football
Lincoln 8th takes loss
The Lincoln eighth grade football team hosted Warsaw and suffered just its second loss of the year, 14-6.
Nate Nixon scored Lincoln its touchdown, while Patrick Houser did a nice job running the ball. Dylan Pavey had a strong game blocking.
Defensive leaders were Matt Roeder, Travis Owen and Jace Mayer. Colin Roth and Michael Lamb each had a sack.
The Lincoln eighth gradeâ€™s record is now 7-2. The team begins the NELMSC tournament when they host Wawasee at the Rockpile next Tuesday.
8th grade volleyball
Red Storm move to 19-2
The Red Storm eighth grade volleyball team won two matches on the road at LaPorte Boston Wednesday, 25-22, 25-20 and 25-21, 25-13.
Leading Lincoln in the match were L.J. Singleton in serving and setting, Hannah Puckett in serving and passing, Allie Dennie in hitting and serving, Anna Bockman, Nicole Horvath, Cassie McPherron and Kassi Dickey in hitting, Ashley Harrell in setting and Zoe Keilman in serving.
The win at Boston came on the heels of a home win over Wawasee Tuesday, 25-17, 25-12.
The team is now an impressive 19-2 and travels to Warsaw Edgewood next Monday.
7th grade volleyball
Lincoln 7th serves up wins
Lincolnâ€™s seventh grade volleyball team used a strong service game to lift the Red Storm to a lopsided 25-11, 25-15 win over Wawasee Tuesday following the teamâ€™s 25-3, 25-10 rout of Warsaw Lakeview on Monday.
In the Wawasee match, Audrey Himes, Kendall Rhodes, Kirsten Nault all finished with nearly 10 serves. Passing leaders were Leah Smith and Jillian Miller, and hitting leaders were MacKenzie Scheetz and Makenzie Quissell. Servers and captains Kendall Rhodes and Bailey Eveland led the Red Storm in setting.
In the Warsaw match, outstanding serves came from Jillian Miller, Sydney Sullivan, Scheetz and Nault.
Bremen beats Knox in 3
The Bremen seventh grade volleyball team battled back from a first set loss to beat Knox in three games, 20-25, 25-17, 15-4.
Bailey Fritter led the Lady Lions with six aces, Brooke Kertai and Lexi Miller finished with three aces, and Sara Knepper tallied two aces.
Fritter, Kertai, Miller and Paige Lacher recorded a kill each.
Lady Chargers fall to Kalamazoo
The Lady Chargers dropped a conference match to Kalamazoo Valley Community College 20-25, 24025, 25-18, 25-17, 16-14.
Ancilla now has a regular season record of 12-10 with a 3-5 MCCAA mark.
Kelly Duke had an outstanding night, maybe her best match to date, according to Ancilla volleyball coach Lana Singleton, with 16 kills, 13 digs, two block solos and solid serving and passing.
Kaylia Richardson led the defense with 16 digs and a strong effort. Jessica Moore of Walkerton had an outstanding night offensively, recording a 32 percent hitting/kill percentage. Kristen Trudell finished with 49 assists.
