Warsaw eliminates CGA
Warsaw scored four goals in the second half to break a 0-0 stalemate, and the host Lady Tigers eliminated Culver Girls Academy 4-0 at the Class 2A Warsaw Girls Soccer Sectional Tuesday.
Gabby Monroy and Elizabeth Van Wormer each finished with a goal and an assist to lead Warsaw.
Olivia Fox managed a valiant 11 saves in goal but it wasn't enough to make a difference as the Lady Eagles closed out their season.
The Tigers advance to play Wawasee Thursday following the early semifinal between fellow Northern Lakes Conference clubs NorthWood and Plymouth.

Bremen earns NSC win at Jimtown
Bremen beat Jimtown in four close games in a Northern State Conference win Tuesday on the road in Elkhart.
Cassie Sears and Brooke Baker finished with 13 and 12 kills, respectively. Chelsea Huppert tallied four blocks, Sabrina Gilley set 27 assists, and Brooke Fitch served up five aces with 25 digs behind Lashbrook's team-leading 28. Baker also recorded 13 digs in the big conference win.

8th grade football
Lincoln blanks Lakeview
Lincoln's eighth grade football team defeated Lakeview 22-0 at the Rockpile to move to 7-1 on the year.
Offensive leaders for Lincoln were Tristen McMillen, David Bacon and Caleb Koss each scored a touchdown. The offensive line consisting of Calvin Raymond, Kylen Thomas, James Smith, Zack Xaver and Travis Owen did a great job blocking. Jake Young added two PATs.
Defensive leaders were Colin Roth, Michael Lamb, Nate Nixon, Colten Schuler and Young. The young Rockies will be back in action Thursday.
Jr high cross country
The Red Storm cross country team traveled to Lakeview.
The girls won with Rachael Crawford leading the team with a time of 12:49 and Kaitlyn Carothers right behind in 12:58. Lexi Ramirez took fifth for the team with a 14:22, while Courtney Bradley and Kyndel Grove tied for sixth place with a time of 14:43. Ally Dolan, Isabel Nunez, Tia Freshour and Alyssa Solis took eighth through 11th respectively.
The boys team fought a tough battle with Shane Pursch coming in sixth for the Red Storm with a time of 11:55 and Jeffrey Oliver close behind in 12:14. Jordan Morrow placed ninth with a time of 12:40 with Danial Stauffer, Micah Calhoun and Zach Moser close behind in 11th, 12th and 14th place.
The Red Storm run their conference meet at 9 a.m. on Saturday at Wawasee.
8th grade volleyball
Lincoln beats Lakeview in 3
On Monday the Lincoln Red Storm volleyball teams hosted Warsaw Lakeview.
The eighth grade lost the first game 25-15 but came back to win the second game 25-21 and secured the win with a 15-7 third-game win.
Leaders for the match were Ashley Harrell in setting, Anna Bockman in serving, hitting and passing, Allie Dennie in hitting and passing, Kassie Dickey in hitting and serving, and Kennedy Snyder in passing.
The Red Storm improves to 16-2 with the win. Lincoln hosts Wawasee Tuesday at 5 p.m.
7th grade volleyball
Lincoln 7th loses
The Lincoln seventh grade volleyball team lost in two games against Urey, 25-11 and 25-19.
Lincoln was led in serving by Bailey Fritter and Brooke Kertai.
