Lincoln 8th reaches NELMSC championship
The Lincoln eighth grade football team clinched a spot in the NELMSC championship game by defeating Whitko 44-8.
Leaders on offense were Cam Eveland with three touchdowns and Steve Helm with one touchdown. Jacob Rachielle returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown. Eveland also collected three PATs, and Jack Barron had one. The offensive line continued to play well, controlling the line of scrimmage. Joe Welker recovered a fumble in the endzone for a touchdown, while Josh Salyers, Casey Kopetski and Will Houser all had fumble recoveries. Tim Menefee and Jeremy Splix also had great games for the Young Rockies.
The Lincoln eighth grade record is now 11-1. The Young Rockies will take on Warsaw Lakeview Tuesday at Warsaw.
