Plymouth downs Triton in regular season-closer
Plymouth handed visiting Triton a lopsided loss in three games in an all-Marshall County match-up at home at the Rock Thursday, 25-12, 25-18, 25-12.
Amber Redinger and Carly Baker led the Lady Pilgrims at the net with 12 and nine kills and two and three blocks, respectively.
Haley Harrell dished out 30 assists to Plymouth’s hitters, while Mikayla and Marissa German finished with 11 and eight digs, respectively, to lead the Pilgrims defense. Mikayla also served up a pair of aces as Plymouth closed out its regular season on an impressive 11-game win streak.
The Lady Pilgrims will host the Class 3A Sectional 19 next week and will open play at the tournament with a game against Mishawaka Marian Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Lady Lions win at TV
Bremen earned a win in four games on the road at Tippecanoe Valley Thursday, 25-8, 23-25, 25-19, 25-18.
Brooke Baker led a balanced Lady Lions offense with 16 kills, while Megan Stouder finished with 13, and Cassie Sears put down 11.
Sabrina Gilley notched four aces to go with 48 assists, while Brooke Fitch and Morgan Smith finished with 40 and 27 digs, respectively to anchor the Bremen defense.
Also for the Lions, Sears recorded three blocks, while Baker, Andrea Strehler and Chelsea Huppert each tallied two at the match.

Freshman football
Plymouth freshmen close with heartbreaking loss
The Plymouth freshman football team traveled to Goshen Thursday night and took its first loss of the season by a heartbreaking 20-19 margin.
The young Rockies went for the win as they attempted a two-point conversion with no time left in the game and came up a yard short.
Cam Eveland led the Plymouth offense with three touchdowns.
The freshman Rockies finish their season with a record of 7-1.

7th grade volleyball
Bremen wins on the road
Bremen’s seventh grade volleyball team came home from Tippecanoe Valley with a win, 21-25, 25-16, and 15-13.
The Lady Lions B team was also earned a 25-18 win.
Bailey Fritter served five aces served up by Sara Knepper served two, and Janella Contreras had one.
Fritter also finished with four kills, while Knepper finished with two kills, as did Mackenzie Moren, and Lexi Miller had one.
Bremen will play its final match Saturday at LaVille. The seventh grade starts at 8:30 p.m. against New Prarie.
