Glenn survives Marian
John Glenn's girls basketball team held Marian to two points in overtime, surviving a tough road contest 55-50 to rattle off its 11th straight win Thursday night.
Katie Dreessen put up 15 points, and Carah Ochs scored 10, but the Lady Falcons saw eight different players make the score sheet.
Katie Barnard led Marian with a game-high 23 for the night.
Glenn moved to 11-1 with the win, while Marian slipped to 7-7.
The Falcons will travel to Triton for a Northern State Conference match-up tonight at 8 p.m.

Lady Lancers keep Central Noble winless
LaVille jumped out to a 27-9 halftime lead en route to a 48-23 victory at winless Central Noble Wednesday.
Kelsey Gurtner scored a team-high 14 points to lead the Lady Lancers.
Central Noble was led by Courtney Steele's seven.
LaVille moves to 5-6, while Central Noble slides to 0-14.

Freshman boys basketball
Plymouth wins at Memorial
After a long break the Plymouth freshmen boys basketball team was back in
action and traveled to Elkhart Memorial to challenge the Chargers
Thursday night, coming away with a 38-29 win.
The Pilgrims came out with determination after a scrappy first half, holding Memorial scoreless in the third quarter, then held off a late run by the Chargers to earn the road win.
Plymouth was led by Cam Eveland with 11 points and Matt Friar with 10 points.
The Pilgrims move to 3-3 on the year and will host South Bend Washington on Saturday.
