Glenn advances through OD
John Glenn used a 14-5 third quarter to get out front by 13, and John Glenn handed host Oregon-Davis a 62-46 loss in the two teamsâ€™ boys Bi-County opener Tuesday night at The Den.
Jake Strong finished with 16, and Drew McDonald scored 11 to lead a balanced Glenn scoresheet which saw eight different players score for the Falconsâ€™ second win.
Zach Johnston finished with a game-high 23 to lead OD, while Blake Hurford and Joel Worthington finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively for the home team.
Glenn advances to play Culver Community in the early semifinal at LaVille Friday night at 6:30 p.m.

Bradley jumper seals 1st CMA win
Chorley, England import Bradley Fisher hit the game-winner from seven feet out with 3.7 seconds left, and Culver Military earned its first win, 51-50 over Elkhart Christian in a thriller at home at Fleet Gymnasium Tuesday night.
Fisher finished with 10 points as one of three CMA players in double digits as Nick Zalduendo scored 19, and Eljay Murray finished with 12. Zalduendo and Murray accounted for nine of the Eaglesâ€™ 11 3-pointers in the win as CMA got most of its offense from the perimeter as the home team avoided its 31st straight loss.
ECA was led by Ryan Kupferschmidâ€™s 15 and Kenny Bearssâ€™ 10.

Lady Cats down Falcons
Ashley Campbell scored 24, and Alicia McIntosh finished with 19 as Class A No. 2 Oregon-Davis backed up a win last week over John Glenn with a 66-39 victory over the Lady Falcons in their Bi-County opener Tuesday at home in Hamlet.
Haley Collings chipped in 10 points in the win, which pushes OD to 14-3. The Lady Cats advance to play Culver Community in the early tourney semifinal Thursday at LaVille, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET.
Loren Vukovits scored 12, and Katie Dreessen finished with 10 for Glenn, which fell short of the reprisal after suffering a 30-point loss to OD at The Den last Tuesday.

Rockies crush Cougars
Plymouth earned victories in 10 different weight classes, and the Rockies bounced back from a lackluster showing at the Northern Indiana Conference Duals Saturday with a dominant 45-19 win on the road at New Prairie Tuesday.
Cody Allmon, Osman Solis and Jacob Pearson all won by pinfall for Plymouth, while Stephen Abair earned a technical fall at 132, and Kam Markovich won by 11-1 major decision at 126.
The Rockies move to 21-5 with the win. They'll look to follow up an undefeated Northern Lakes Conference dual meet schedule with a top finish at the NLC Championship Meet Saturday at Wawasee.
The JV Rockies will host a tourney Saturday coming off their 71-39 win over the JV Cougars Tuesday.

CMA dominates Marian
The Eagles recorded nine wins by pinfall on the way to a 69-12 win over visiting Mishawaka Marian at home at The Culver Academies Tuesday evening.
Kayla Miracle, Chayton Durham, Anthony McHugh, David Zajac, Edmond Hogan, Danny Williams, Jordan Schultz, Collin Parker and Collin Pepper each ticked off wins by fall for the Academies. Steven Muthart won a close 3-2 decision at 106, meanwhile, as the Eagles notched wins in all but two weight classes at the meet.

Felke powers Lincoln 8th
The Lincoln eighth grade boys basketball team used a stout halfcourt defense and strong shooting from Nick Felke to beat the visiting Eagles 52-18 as the Red Storm hosted Indian Springs Monday night.Â
The home team held the visitors to only two points in each of the first two quarters and went into halftime leading 29-4 before cruising to the win in the second half.
Felke led all scorers with 21 points â€” including a halfcourt buzzer-beater â€” and added five steals. Travis Owen came up big off the bench adding 10 points.
7th grade boys basketball
Big D cues Lincoln 7th grade win
The Lincoln seventh grade boys basketball team used a strong scoring defense in a 47-20 blowout of visiting Indian Spring at home Monday night. The Red Storm led 24-6 at halftime and the lead would only grow in the second half. Â
Kadin McCrammer led all scorers with 14 points. Dylan Powell added eight points for the victors.
