PLYMOUTH — Raymond E. Hite, 90, of Plymouth, passed away at 10:01 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. 
Raymond was born April 3, 1922, in Plymouth, to David and Minnie (Moore) Hite. July 9, 1966, Raymond married the former Norma Winrotte. Raymond retired from Hite Equipment and Indiana Heat Transfer. Raymond and Norma enjoyed traveling together. He had a special passion for electric trains and he loved Mackinac Island Fudge. Raymond proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII and was a member of the American Legion Post #27, VFW #1162, Moose Lodge #741, and the 40 & 8.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Norma Hite; her children, Kathleen Sutton and Melody (Bruce) Hollett of Plymouth; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; his family from his previous marriage to Mary Ellen Workman; his son, John Hite of Texas; Rick (Janice) Hite of Plymouth; Carl Hite of Rochester; and Sherry Hite of California; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Arnold Hite of Plymouth. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Fred Hite; three sisters; and three brothers.
