Police rule Culver shootings murder-suicide

Culver police have announced findings following Tuesday's autopsy, concerning the shooting deaths last Wednesday evening of 44 year old Michael Price and 16 year old Stephen Suthard, who died at a home on Madison Street.

According to a release by Culver police, "Investigation at the scene, as well as autopsies conducted on Tuesday, December 4, have determined that Suthard died of multiple gunshot wounds as a result of actions by Michael Price, who then took his own life and died of a single self-inflicted gunshot wound."

On November 28 at approximately 10:41 p.m., police say a call was placed to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center requesting Culver Police and Culver EMS respond to the address of 419 West Madison Street, Culver, in regards to two male subjects found unresponsive for an unknown situation.

Culver officers discovered the two male subjects deceased inside the residence with what was initially suspected as gunshot wounds. The residence was secured inside and outside by the Culver Police Department with the assistance of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
