Plymouth city budget has an easy night
PLYMOUTH – After a stormy process of putting it together, the 2011 budget for the city of Plymouth had a very quiet public hearing last night.
After a month of consternation over raises and paid holidays the Plymouth Common Council held its public hearing on the coming year’s budget and if initial public reaction is any indication, the Council appears to have arrived at a budget that’s at least acceptable to the public.
No one spoke for or against the budget when the floor was opened for public comment.
Plymouth Fire Chief Andy Metsker did address the Council when the floor was opened for department heads to speak and addressed the issue of the cutting back of paid vacation time for fire personnel.
