Plymouth begins water main flushing today

July 1, 2013

PLYMOUTH — In an effort to maintain quality service, the city of Plymouth Water Department will be conducting a citywide flushing of water mains.

Flushing began at 6 a.m. Monday, July 1 and continue until approximately 4 p.m. Water mains will be flushed every weekday over the next two months, starting in the southeast section of Plymouth.

Normally, you should not experience discoloration in your water as this work is being performed. In the rare instance that you do, please run cold water to flush your service lines. If your water does not clear after 15 or 20 minutes, or you have any questions, please contact the water department at 574-936-2543.
